We Won! Now Let’s Get Organized

The 2026 primary results are in. Our campaign won by a 16 point margin. Thank you so much for all of your support – I couldn’t have done it without you.

Looking forward, I would love to hear from you about the issues that are important to you, and how we can make Eugene a better, more equitable City for working families. Please join our mailing list to receive my updates about City Council and to stay engaged in our movement to build a more progressive Eugene.

I will be on the ballot once again this November (running unopposed) and would be honored to earn your continued support.

Why I’m Running

I am running to stand up for working families in Eugene, and to ensure that our Ward’s progressive values are represented at the City Council. As the cost of living increases, and our community is facing a housing and climate crisis, we need bold leadership at the City level like never before. My experience as a lifelong community organizer and the President of SEIU 085 has taught me how to build coalitions and consensus around important issues, a skill which I will bring to bear at City Council to pass policies to benefit all Eugene residents.

Affordability

As an elected union leader, I am all too familiar with the struggle of working families trying to stay afloat as the cost of living continues to rise. I am running for Council to fight for policies to ensure that these families can afford to live in our City, with a focus on building affordable housing, expanding tenant protections, and creating good paying union jobs.

Climate Action

We need to ensure Eugene remains a national leader on climate action, and to help us get back on track to meet our Climate Recovery Ordinance goals. I want to work with community partners and local businesses to create a more sustainable and resilient future for our city, with investments in protecting our green spaces, building out community solar and storage, creating more protected bike infrastructure, and increasing access to public transit.

Human Rights

The Trump Administration is attacking the very foundations of our nation’s democracy. Even here in Eugene, we are experiencing the impacts of this administration, with ICE kidnapping people off of the street and teargassing community members exercising their first amendment rights to free speech and protest. I am running to defend our community and stand up against fascism.
